Hate Who You Hate

  1. Simone Weil on matters of "affliction" has been helpful to me. Also Bonhoeffer. Perhaps you are gifted, in which case you will have to be a medium for love in this world in order to succeed, and still suffer...
In almost every instance in dealing with humanity you will be asked to compromise, and in each case the reward will be comfort, some appeasement of the physical, pride, or the ego. In other words, something that we should give each other anyway. Along the way we can learn to recognize the false friends whom we have followed into isolation. They require verifications and certificates, but the only verification is the spirit.
Perhaps our only chance to effectively deal with that which is hate-able in this world is through the power of our togetherness, bringing out the positive, only shunning that which leads to destruction; but we must stop treating each other like strangers, which is the world's poison.
