Carlin was the best ~ not sure I agree with "shell shock" ~ like, today I was at that mind-snap point due to a neighbor ~ not trauma, but stressful situation ~
-war (living on the streets, being in abusive relationship) is constant stress and for some traumatic, home (off streets, out of relationship) ~ adjustment period is "post-trauma" ~ even a car accident people experience it ~ it goes away ~
~ disorder has to do with any reminder of the trauma ~ so that someone with shell shock or PTSD, will jump when a car backfires or a door slams ~ a person who had a near-death car accident might likewise have flashbacks if involved in a less severe one ~
